Note: This is a working draft privacy policy. It should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before Mirage Lumen processes patient data in a production environment at scale. Some sections marked [TBC] require confirmation of technical implementation details.
1. Who we are
Mirage Interactive Ltd is a company registered in Scotland (Company No. SC794383). We make Mirage Lumen, a mobile clinical note assistant for private dentists and dental locums.

2. What this policy covers
This policy covers how Mirage Interactive Ltd handles information in connection with:
- Your use of the Mirage Lumen mobile app
- Your visit to mirage-interactive.com
- Any correspondence or pilot application you send us
This policy does not cover how you as a clinician handle patient data within your practice. Your obligations as a Data Controller for patient records are separate from and in addition to this policy.
3. On-device processing and patient audio
Mirage Lumen is designed to process note generation locally on your device. Patient audio is not sent to Mirage servers for transcription.
This means Mirage Interactive does not receive, store, or process the content of patient audio recordings during normal use of the app's core note generation function.
If you choose to use optional cloud storage features (such as Google Drive integration), that is a separate, user-controlled action. Data handled through third-party services you choose to connect is subject to those services' own privacy policies.
4. Account and contact data
If you apply for pilot access or contact us, we will hold your name, email address, and any information you provide. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, with your permission, to keep you updated about the product.
We do not sell or share contact information with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. App usage data

6. Website data
When you visit mirage-interactive.com, standard server log data may be collected (browser type, referring page, pages visited). [TBC: Confirm analytics setup and whether cookies beyond essential ones are in use.]
7. Legal framework
We operate with awareness of the following legal frameworks relevant to our users:
- UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 (for UK users)
- The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (UK)
- The Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles (for Australian users)

8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights including access to data held about you, correction of inaccurate data, deletion, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority (such as the UK's Information Commissioner's Office).
